Heather Dudley – Project Manager
Heather graduated from Tarleton State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education… Obviously, a far cry from the world of small business and marketing. She returned to the Central Texas area where she taught 2nd grade at China Spring ISD for 2 years before leaving the classroom to pursue her true passion of becoming an entrepreneur.
After developing an idea for a unique consignment bridal shop, she opened the doors to “I Do” On a Dime Wedding Consignment Boutique in August of 2009. It was during this time when Heather discovered what it truly meant to be a small business owner, as well as her passion for all things marketing. Her most enjoyable, but hardest challenge was learning how to effectively generate traffic and brand awareness for her brand-baby-new business. Being a new business owner on an extremely tight budget meant that every marketing move she made was either bank or bust. She became very in tune and aware of specifically what efforts brought customers in the door and what was just a waste of hard-earned dollars.
She successfully operated and grew the business until she sold it to a fellow bridal shop owner in 2012 to stay home with her first of 2 children.
A couple years after her youngest child was born, that undeniable itch to return to the working world caught up to her. She began working as the marketing manager for her family while assisting them with their marketing/ advertising & growth needs for three separate businesses. Heather thrived in this position and learned she was passionate for helping other small businesses overcome the barriers which prevented them from achieving their ideas of success.
Heather joined the Cornerstone team in August of 2016 as the Project Manager. Here she educates and guides local small business owners, like her former self, in becoming aware of their growth goals, implementing an effective game plan and executing their specific direct response marketing needs in order to assist them in achieving their ultimate growth goals. Just as in her classroom days, Heather still enjoys seeing others accomplish their objectives.
